Moving to MA

It's been a while since my last update, but with a new job and a move on the horizon I have my hands full wrapping things up in IL. For the first time in my life I have friends dragging me out - not against my will - but to places I actually enjoy. We go to the dog park, out to eat, the coffee shop, etc. 

My mom of course is calling constantly to help me worry about my move. I'll be trekking across the country next week with my four animals, so today I wrapped up getting all the pets microchipped with Home Again and my vet. I also got plenty of medication and food.

Since I'm leaving the area, I'm grabbing food here and there so I got my favorite smoothie (Lollicup Bubble Tea) yesterday.

As you can see Henry is enjoying the whole move thing.

After a few weeks in Seattle, San Francisco and Boston and a serious bout with the GDC plague, things are finally settling in. I have accepted a position a Guild Cafe and I am beyond thrilled to be joining the team.

So the next few weeks I'll be prepping for a move and gearing up for the new job.

So after a trip to Seattle for WaMu, San Francisco for GDC 2008, a horrible bout with the flu and a trip to Boston. I'm finally back home. I hope things settle down a bit now as I'm tired and my life is in disarray.

I'm staring at the pile of work I have to do and picking it up one piece at a time.

I wonder how much these cost?

There were two normalish coffee/chocolate flavors, but the gold chocolate one is ginger chocolate and the one with the point is peppercorn and chocolate. Interesting tastes, but I think I prefer the traditional. I received these as a present for one of the projects I am working on - WaMu Product Choice.

Fort McHenry

I was straightening my place up today and getting rid of all the boxes I have from various things I got in the mail. Henry and Ramses decided to play fort. Since I found Osiris sneaking into the catnip stash last night and rolling in it, I figured I would go ahead and give them the rest.

Of course for some reason, Henry thinks catnip = angel dust/PCP for cats and attacks Ramses full force, while Osiris was peacefully tripping balls. Yes - that's all catnip on him. No - Osiris is not brown/black.

As far as gaming is concerned, I am level 52 in WoW!!! Currently, I am on Silvermoon and I'm a Blood Elf Shadow Priest. My gear is nothing spectacular, but you can see how she pretty much looks in the picture.


I also got my first purple random drop today as well, the Dazzling Longsword. Hopefully I can move it for a tidy sum since it appears to be a PvP twink item.

Snow Days

Just got over a sedation dental session on Monday. While the actual dental work I don't remember much, my body is tired and the pain is not fun. I would definitely suggest sedation dentistry if you need work done. What also wasn't fun was all the misadventures of my mom while she was here:

• Taking keys back to Memphis, requiring a FedEx trip.
• Breaking plastic dog water bowl, while backing away from my barbarian horde of cats who were trying to get rotisserie chicken. She left the wet paper towels and broken water bowl on the floor.
  
• Locking me and herself out of the garage, and also the spare garage door opener breaking (not sure what happened with that). This caused me not to be able to take Asher out his usual route, get to my car or the trash cans.
• Forgetting to feed and water the cats or give Henry his antibiotics.
• Let Asher destroy a large rubber doorstop while I was napping, leaving the rubber all over the floor - not to mention any of the rubber he managed to ingest.

Now she did do these things:

• Washed and folded any dirty clothing/clean clothing.
• Washed and put away any dirty dishes.

Thing is my mom loves me a lot, but as my friend Doug said, "Next time you fly in Melody?" which to my response was, "I'll fly in *someone* who is domestic. :P". <3 Melody but she doesn't want to nurse /pet sit either hehe.

WoW Occaisionally and a New Baby

Things have still been hectic but I have been able to play wow here and there.

Plus I have a new baby to play with. He's a handful but total joy in my life:

Anarchy Online

Here is me in my mech. I can call this down to me about every 5 minutes and its used to take down enemy AI turrets. This is for planetary/siege warfare. You can fire it on other players in PvP, but it would be far more effective against player armor to use traditional weaponry (like my pet or pistols). So the AC types for the turrets/players are 2 totally different resistances.

The last is me in a vamp-leet costume for Halloween. Leets are hamster like creatures that are sort of mascot NPCs for AO. They are named after leet-speak because that's how they talk.

Infynyti >> 20 Tailor

My goal this evening is to get Infynyti (my Shadowknight) to level 20 tailor. I'm up for some strange reason at 3:10am. May as well craft in EQ2 to put me to sleep!

Updates

I'm now on Silvermoon in WoW, and spent some money at the AH on gear. I was so poorly geared my Priest I was having trouble keeping up.
I'm working through all the newbie experiences in EQ2. At this point I'm wrapping up the Kelethin experience and then I will move to Freeport and Qeynos.

It will be interesting since I have not done either since the EQ2 came out.

FFXI Wings of the Goddess has been pushed back to Friday, so unfortunately I will not get to see that soon.

Mistral's Kiss and Crown of Swords

With all the things that have happened I have taken to reading as much as possible. It's a good way to escape and see other worlds. First up I read Mistral's Kiss - part of the Merry Gentry Fairy books by Laurell K. Hamilton.

Also I'm finally wrapping up Crown of Swords Book 6 in the Wheel of Time series.
